You're Not Sick, You're Thirsty!


As we all know, we are about 75 % water. We ARE water. And yet, most of us don't drink nearly enough - I know I don't. A well known recommendation is to drink eight 8-ounce glasses of fluid a day. I'm trying to improve my relationship with water this week. Want to join me? We'd die without it! Think of all the amazing things it gives us without even trying - life, flowers, food, swimming, hot tubs, skiing, ice skating, Finding Nemo and Venice are just a few... If you're drinking your 8 glasses of fluid a day then switch some of the coffee or soda out for water. If you aren't drinking 8 glasses then add a glass or two. I've only been doing it for a few days and I already feel less inclined to snack, have more energy and am less prone to headaches. I also feel less thirsty - surprise, surprise! Give it a try and notice how it makes you feel. There is a great book called "You're Not Sick, You're Thirsty" by F. Batmanghelidj who is a doctor who has successfully treated many illnesses and diseases with clean water alone. Let me know how it goes . . .
